About

I’m Long Hoang Nguyen, a PhD student at Aston University, UK. My research focuses on machine learning-based signal processing algorithms for fibre-optic communications funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship. I pursued Master’s degrees in optical networks in the UK and Italy through the EU-funded Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD) program after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Vietnam. Having also participated in student programs in South Korea and Singapore, I am enthusiastic about embracing new opportunities and challenges, always eager to expand my knowledge and skills.
